Uhuru Kenyatta wins Kenya’s presidential election

Deputy prime minister Uhuru Kenyatta has emerged winner of Kenya's presidential election.

The election commission announced that he narrowly won by 50.03% of the vote.

According to reports; Kenyatta's victory could affect Kenya's relations with the West, as he faces charges at the International Criminal Court for his alleged role in directing some of the 2007 post-election violence. His running mate, William Ruto, faces similar charges. The US has warned of "consequences" if Kenyatta, the son of Kenya's founding father, wins, as have several European countries. Britain, which ruled Kenya up until the early 1960s, has said they would have only essential contact with the Kenyan government if Kenyatta is president.

It is also predicted thay Kenyatta's win is likely to bring controversy in Kenya and an almost certain legal challenge from prime minister Raila Odinga whose supporters protested after the 2007 election when he claimed he was cheated.

MSN reports:

In Kibera, Nairobi's largest slum and a bastion of Odinga support, many believe this year's results have been rigged as well, with the results showing him at 43.3%.

Mr Kenyatta needed to break the 50% barrier to avoid a run-off with Mr Odinga, but he did so by only 4,099 votes out of more than 12.3 million cast.

Monday's presidential vote was the first since the 2007 election sparked two months of tribal violence after a disputed election win was claimed by president Mwai Kibaki. More than 1,000 people were killed in attacks that included machetes, bows and arrows and police firearms.

Mr Odinga's camp has indicated legal challenges could be filed. Monday's presidential vote proceeded mostly peacefully, but the counting process has been marred by a series of break-downs and errors.

In order to win outright, Mr Kenyatta must not only get more than 50% of the vote but also at least 25% of the vote in 24 out of Kenya's 47 provinces. Because of the way the election commission announced results, it was difficult to immediately determine if Mr Kenyatta achieved that target.

Mr Kenyatta's ICC trial is set to begin in July and could take years, meaning that if he wins he may have to rule Kenya from The Hague for much of his five-year term. Another option is, as president, to decide not to attend the trial, but that would trigger an international arrest warrant and spark even more damaging effects for Kenya's standing with the West. Mr Kenyatta has promised to report to The Hague, even if he wins the presidency. The ICC yesterday delayed the trial of Mr Ruto until late May.

Painful: Mum collects money and allowed pervert to use her daughter to make porn (PICTURED)

Christopher Bour is accused of buying Natisha Hillard's 18-month-old daughter for use in child porn.
A 24-year-old Indiana woman allegedly sold her toddler to man for use in child pornography, according to federal charges.

The indictment against Natisha Hillard, of Gary, said she sold her 18-month-old daughter for the production of child pornography and permitted her to participate in the smut, according to NWITimes.com.

Authorities have also charged her business partner, Christopher Bour, 39, with buying a child to produce child pornography, producing child pornography and possessing child pornography featuring a minor younger than 12.

Investigators were tipped off to the apparent dirty deal last month by the former owner of a massage parlor frequented by Bour. She told police the suspect asked her to record him having sex with a child and had played child-porn videos when she went to his house on a private call in November, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

After the woman notified authorities, an FBI agent assumed her identity and continued texting Bour.

He allegedly explained via text message that the mother would not be present, and that the arrangement began when the child was 4 months old, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The exact amount of money Hillard allegedly received from Bour has not been reported.

Bour was arrested last month and when the FBI search his home, he admitted downloading child pornography for "role-playing," but said he hadn't sexually touched a child, according to WBBM-TV.

SD SPorts News - How Do You Solve A Problem With The Gunners?

Just after 90mins at hart lane, it was clear that the noisy  North London neighbours (Tottenham) will likely make it to next  season's UCL  and the big for nothing big brothers (Arsenal) might have to  get used to  Thursday  Night Football I  mean the Europa League.
This was a game that was meant to shape Arsenal's immediate future amongst Europe's elite and they really shot themselves on the foot. The Gunners started the strongest but "we've been there before" seeing Arsenal dominate teams and being undone by one nasty and costly error. Before you could say Jack Robinson, Per Merteshacles and Thomas Gammalin connived to allow Gareth Bale spring the offside trap and get his 15th strike in the EPL, the highest a Welshman has gotten in a single season. Moments later, lightning struck twice, same situation, same culprits but different scorer, Aaron Lennon.
Pundits gave much credit to the Arsenal backline at the beginning of the season, with lots of kudos going to Steve Bould for moulding the Gunners defence, but the once impregnable defence has been raped continuously at an alarming rate. If Arsenal will ever win a trophy (except from the Emirates Cup) Vermaelen, Koscielny, Mertasacker will have to be disposed of or remoulded. Vermaelen is now an opposite of what we saw in his debut season, Mertesacker lacks pace, Koscielny is inconsistent. Tottenham's win yesterday was built on a very solid defence, Michael Dawson was rock solid, and come to think of it, AVB almost sold him off to QPR during his Spurs shake up, Jan Vertonghen had another eye catching game, won tackles, made interceptions, and dominated aerial duels, Kyle Walker has a way of keeping his best for the North London derbies and he was in his elements yesterday.
Are there positives for Arsenal? Definitely yes, 10 more games to go and anything can happen but you get a feeling that Spurs would be mentally prepared for this run-in considering their last season melt down, but Wenger would be happy that Chelsea  have also joined the scramble for Champions League places, that means its game on. The Big question now lies; can Arsenal go through the next 10 games unscathed?

ROSY 2013 FOR ROSSONERI
This was a team that almost sacked its gaffer for poor results but since New Year's day, AC Milan have not lost a game in the Serie A. the club bought Mario Balotelli who has added  more  value to the team. In this massive three pointer against Lazio, Milan had it at the back of their minds that a win will propel them to third on the log and their mission was helped by Candreva who got sent off early in the first period and Milan took over, the Barca win confidence still evident in the team and they put Lazio to the sword in grand style, Balotelli didn't play which ensured  Pazzini took the limelight with a brace. The Rossoneri are third right now and with Napoli playing back to back draws, Milan will have the right to believe that they can give second place a shot.
Juve and Napoli cancelled each other out in a feisty clash but the sour point in the game was the Edinson Cavani elbow on Giorgio Chiellini but the spirit of the game won as both players  showed sportsmanship after the game.
Roma won last night at the Olimpico but the highpoint was Francesco Totti's 225th Serie A  goal, making him the second all-time scorer in the SerieA , Antonio Di Natale also netted his 150th goal for Udinese in their win over Pescara.

AND THE DOMINANCE IS OFFICIALLY OVER
Inconsequential as the tie might be, but this game was important for the Special One, this was the game that was going to break the shackles of the Barca domination over Real  Madrid.  Second string line  up it seemed  like but the same spirit was  still instilled in the team, Benzema struck first but Barca replied and from then on  it was all Barcelona,  but we  knew we had seen all  of these  before   and came on Ronaldo who gingered the  team up and Real got the winner through  Sergio Ramos  a  player  whose relationship with Mourinho has been questioned. Messi once again looked disinterested and Iniesta anonymous, Jordi Roura should  try to give Messi some rest because he needs it. In the last 7 clasicos, Mourinho has won four and  lost just two, this shows one thing, Mou has found the formula his nemesis. But they need to stop basking  in the euphoria of this win and focus  on the battle at Old Trafford as they continue the search for La Decima.

What you missed
