AFRICAN FASHION DESIGNERS! YOU NOW HAVE A CHANCE AT THE MIAMI BEACH INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK

African fashion designers, artists, makeup artists and lots more now stand a chance at the Miami Beach convention centre for the first time ever. Designers from Nigeria and other African countries can now feature on the runway of the luxurious Miami Fashion Week holding at Miami, Florida, United States of America. This event will kick off on Wednesday 20th March to Sunday 24th March 2013.

The Miami Fashion Week is the fifth largest fashion week in the world of fashion and also the largest Latin American and International fashion event in the U.S. Aimed at bringing together designers from all over the world in other to present their collections and discover the best fashion from around the world.
Nigerian designers can now share the runway with the likes of Oscar de La Renta, Patricia Field and many more. They also get the chance to create their own branded "boutique" where about 10,000 retail customers can shop and purchase items directly at the Fashion Collective Pop-Up Boutique Show, isn't that great?

A Fashion and Art Consulting Company called W-Art And Design Ltd, based in Lagos Nigeria has been chosen as the African regional representative of Sobol-Perry Fashion Productions Inc., owners of the Miami Fashion Week, Mrs. Wumi Oluwadare, the President of the fashion consulting outfit, said that W-Art and Design Company has lined up some activities here in Nigeria at the popular Nike Art Gallery, Lekki, prior to the Miami Fashion Week, this is to ensure that the African section shines bright in Florida.

Their activities and dates include:
Arts Exhibition – 3rd – 5th of November, 2012
A special exhibition of Africa's rich array of Indigenous Textiles and Artefacts

Fashion Business Educative Seminar – 3rd of November, 2012
Mercedes R. Gonzalez (CEO, Global Purchasing Group NYC – a buying office representing over 200 stores in North and South America) and Uche Ofodile (Professor, University of Arkansas School of Law, USA) will facilitate the seminar with in-depth focus on the business and the legal areas of fashion business.

Mini Fashion Show:
There will be a competitive fashion show where 10 emerging designers will be shortlisted and the top 3 designers will be selected and sponsored to attend the 2013 Miami Fashion Week FREE OF CHARGE!
