HUGE SHOCKER - 29-YEAR-OLD MAN IN LAGOS CONTINUES MAKING LOVE TO LADY EVEN AFTER SHE DIES

A 29-year old man, going by the name Nura Mustapha, is currently explaining to homicide detectives at the State Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos State, why he was allegedly caught having sex with the corpse of a lady identified as Faith Akin.

Mustapha was arrested early in March after an attendant at the Green Star Hotel, Alaba-Rago, raised an alarm that he would not allow the corpse to be retrieved.

Police officers identified the corpse of the lady as Faith Akin, a resident of Ondo State, who visited her mother in Lagos.

"We have a lot of customers coming with different girls to the hotel. But on that fateful day, Mustapha came in about 5.00 pm and booked the room; after about 9.00pm, he brought in this lady and they stayed the night," said the hotel attendant. "Early the next day, before I would hand over to the morning staff, I went round to check the rooms; that was how I saw the lady lying down. I went to touch her but there was no response; I called out to Nura, but he did not answer. It was when I came back the second time after I had informed the manager that I saw the customer having sex with the corpse again; I tried to call his attention but he did not respond, so I went to call the police."

When officers from the Ojo Police Station arrived the scene, it was gathered that the suspect was seen having sex with the unconscious lady.

"As soon as we got the complaint from the hotel management, we rushed to the scene of the incident; unfortunately, we experienced the shock of our lives when we saw Nura on top of the lifeless lady still having sex with her," said a police officer. "We had to drag him from the lady's corpse before he realised that people had been watching him. It was a terrible thing for such a young man to sleep with a corpse; maybe for ritual purpose, but we do not know."

During questioning, Mustapha allegedly told the police officers that he had taken a sex-enhancement drug before inviting the deceased to his hotel room.
"He said he used a local Hausa herb, called 'burutashe' to enhance his sexual performance before he had sex with the lady," said the police source. "The corpse had foam coming out from her mouth; and despite that he kept [penetrating] her because the drug made him to have delayed ejaculation. So to satisfy himself, he kept [penetrating] the lady even when he discovered that she was dead, so as to relieve himself."

The Tiv Yam market in Alaba-Rango is predominantly populated by Hausas and it was gathered that commercial sex workers often congregate there at night to solicit for customers.

But does the condition — which is said to reduce sex drive, self-esteem and physical strength — truly have any medical grounding or is it merely a symptom of middle-age? We take a look at the myths and truths surrounding the causes of the male menopause.
 
If you're feeling tired and moody and your sex drive is low, you might be wondering if there's something inherently wrong with you. So what's going on? It could be that you're going through the male menopause …
 
Falling testosterone in middle-age
 
The question of whether a male menopause actually exists has long been a source of scientific discussion. Technically, men can't experience the menopause per se, as this condition specifically relates to the moment when women of a certain age stop having their periods. Nevertheless, many of the side-effects associated with the female menopause are equally apparent amongst aging men. Depression, achy muscles and even increased body weight can prove highly troubling to males in their mid-40s onwards.

Scientists have dubbed male menopause the 'andropause'. The feelings of malaise, physical weakness and low self-esteem stemming from this condition are caused by a gradual drop in testosterone levels, similar to the fall in hormones experienced by menopausal women. Though the majority of middle-aged men remain unaffected, the andropause can exacerbate a mid-life crisis in a variety of troubling ways.

 As men grow older, their testosterone levels gradually fall, potentially causing symptoms of the andropause. These problems can include everything from a weakened sex drive through to full-blown periods of depression …
 ◦Low sex drive and infertility — It won't be the news that your partner wants to hear, but a fall in testosterone can really dampen your sexual appetite. If you've been struggling to raise your enthusiasm in the bedroom (so to speak), or are unable to conceive, it might be time to see your doctor and assess whether the andropause is to blame. Sadly, the damage to your sex drive doesn't stop there; the male menopause has also been blamed for shrinking testes and loss of pubic hair amongst aging men who are low in testosterone.
 ◦Depleted energy and low motivation — Back in the day, you might have leaped out of bed in the morning, throwing open the curtains before greeting the world with a cocky spring in your step. Nowadays things have changed … you sleep through your alarm clock, lethargically crawl out from under the sheets and then lope into the kitchen to eat another bowl of soggy muesli. Sound familiar? Sadly, your reduced energy and crumbling joie de vivre could be down to the andropause.

The myths and realities surrounding male menopause

 ◦Aching muscles and physical tiredness — As our bodies get older we're bound to lose some of the physical strength we enjoyed in our youth. However, if your physical capability has rapidly dwindled over a few short months it could be that your falling hormone levels are starting to take their toll. If achy muscles and physical lethargy are beginning to bite, it might be wise to book an appointment with your doctor.

 ◦Depression and moodiness — Low self-esteem and melancholy can be caused by a number of disparate factors. Feelings of misery may stem from stressful work habits, marital problems, or even from your kids growing up and leaving home. However, depression amongst middle-aged men can also stem from the andropause, with a gradual drop in male hormones blamed for mood swings and terminal moping.
 
How to combat the male menopause
 
If you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, it could be that you're suffering from the andropause. So what can be done about this morale-sapping physical and mental condition?

 ◦Leading a healthy and active lifestyle — The most natural way of fighting through the mental and physical frustrations posed by the andropause is to lead a healthier lifestyle. Through nutritious eating and regular exercise, you'll soon improve problematic aspects of your health, such as flexibility, muscular strength, speed and stamina. By enjoying sports and gym workouts, and eating food high in vital minerals, you may also alleviate depression by blowing away the cobwebs from your mind.

 ◦Seeking medical advice — If you're really struggling with certain elements of your mid-life health, it might be an idea to seek out some medical advice from your doctor. Conditions such as impotency can be solved through prescribed medications, whilst physicians also offer a valuable source of dietary and exercise guidance.

 ◦Using therapy to conquer depression — Middle-aged men suffering from the mental strain of the andropause should seek therapeutic help if they feel it's appropriate. If you're burdened with the weight of stress or depression, don't bottle up your negative feelings. Instead, talk to a therapist or even a trusted friend and you might just relieve some of the emotional baggage.
 
Identifying the male menopause
 
The andropause is clearly a very serious condition. However, before you rush out to buy a book shelf full of self-help books on tackling the male menopause, it's important you get a second opinion to ensure you're genuinely suffering from it. Conditions with similar symptoms include anaemia, thyroid gland illness and even alcoholism, so get a second opinion to fully assess your situation.
 
Even if your problems do appear to stem from the andropause, it's far from the end of the world … Getting through this tricky mid-life transition may prove challenging in the short-term but you will beat the blues eventually to live a happier and healthier later life.

Fireworks Blasts Causes Fire Outbreak In Lagos

An explosion in a warehouse has sparked a major fire in Lagos, Nigeria's largest city and commercial capital.

Witnesses said fireworks were stored in the warehouse in the busy market area of Lagos Island, and the blaze quickly spread to other buildings.

The blast reportedly shook windows of homes several miles away and a thick cloud of smoke could be seen rising over the island.

It was not immediately clear if there were any fatalities.

An Associated Press journalist on site said Nigerian Red Cross workers had been treating people with light injuries.

Thousands of people in the area gathered to watch, as the fire destroyed neighbouring buildings.

The BBC's Tomi Oladipo, in Lagos, says emergency services have had problems reaching the scene of the fire because of the huge crowds.

"The firecrackers were packed in a shop, and the firecrackers caught fire," AFP news agency quoted a National Emergency Management Agency worker as saying.

Emir of Dukku dies at 91

Dukku (Gombe) – The remains of the Emir of Dukku, Alhaji Abdulkadir Rasheed, were on Tuesday interred in Dukku, Gombe State.

Alhaji Bala Mohammed, the Secretary of the Dukku Emirate Council, told reporters in Dukku on Tuesday that the emir, who died at the  age of 91, had three wives, 53 children and many grand children.

He said that the emir died on Monday night at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gombe, following a protracted illness.

Nick Cannon Dumped Kim Kardashian because of her Sex tape.

Nick Cannon has revealed that he dumped Kim Kardashian after she 'lied' to him about the existence of her now-infamous sex tape.

Despite calling the reality star 'one of the nicest people you'll ever meet' Nick explained that he couldn't forgive her for denying the tape existed.
Radio presenter Nick, now happily married to Mariah Carey, briefly dated Kim from September 2006 to January 2007.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show last week he explained: 'This was my issue. We talked about this tape…And she told me there was no tape.

'If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like "That was before me" because she is a great girl.

'She's actually one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?'

Kim made the tape while with then-boyfriend Ray J in 2003. It's release brought her to a wide audience and directly led to her now-lucrative reality star career.

Nick revealed that he had always suspected that Kim might have had something to do with the tape's release.

'And I still think she might have even had a part to play with [its release],' he said.

It seems unlikely Kim will be too concerned about losing out with Nick, however.

Since their breakup she has gone on to become one of America's biggest stars, despite her lack of talent.

Nick seems to appreciate this, adding: 'I think she's a great businesswoman if you ask me.'

Kim is now happily dating rapper Kanye West.

He certainly doesn't seem put off by her tape – in fact The Stronger rapper appears to make reference to the reality star's infamous 2007 tape in his track Clique.

The song – which will feature on his album Cruel Summer – includes the line: 'Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie.'

Her other ex-boyfriends include Gabriel Aubry and Nick Lachey. She is currently locked in a messy divorce with second husband Kris Humphries, after a brief and disastrous marriage.

Kim's rise to fame saw her introduced her to Hollywood's socialite scene by her then close friend Paris Hilton.

Paris soon came to regret the move, as she was overshadowed by Kim when her sex tape was leaked, with pornography company Vivid buying the rights to the video for $1m.

It was particularly galling for Paris, as a similar film featuring her had been leaked in 2003, briefly making her one of the world's most notorious celebrities.

While Kim has always claimed she was 'devastated' by the release of the tape, it certainly made her a star.

It has even been alleged her mother Kris Jenner brokered the deal, with Kim receiving a hefty advance worth between $250,000 and $500,000.

Kim filmed the sex tape when she was 23, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered eight months after its release.

Back in June reports emerged that Kris had allegedly instructed Kim to make the video and even had her re-shoot it because the first take wasn't 'pretty enough'.

Kim's younger sister Khloe was infuriated by the claims and said: 'That is just disgusting and disturbing, and probably HIS fantasy!'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi, deserves to win the Ballon d'Or next year, desopite thee fact that he was won it three times in a row already.

Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta are the final three nominees, but the Paris Saint-Germain striker, says the Argentine is a clear favourite.

"Messi is the best player in the world, he deserves the Ballon d'Or," Ibrahimovic told BeIn Sport.

"I know he's won it several times but it is deserved. He plays like he's on PlayStation, it's unbelievable. People who say otherwise either don't know anything about football or are just talking nonsense."

Ibrahimovic also showered encomiums on former Real Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane, saying he made players around him look good.

"When Zidane stepped onto the pitch, the 10 other guys just got suddenly better. It is that simple," the Swede said.

President Jonathan Explains Why His Administration Is Slow

For those who are still wondering, president Goodluck Jonathan has explained the slow nature of his administration saying it is a deliberate move to avoid committing costly mistakes while making critical decisions.

The president said this on Tuesday at a Christmas Service held at the Cathedral Church of The Advent, Life Camp, Gwarinpa, Abuja. He said experience has shown him the that disadvantage of rushing into decisions are enormous.

According to Jonathan, "Sometimes, people say this government is slow. Yes, by human thinking, we are slow,  but I can say that we are not slow.

"Government must think things properly before it acts. When you don't think through things properly, or  when you   rush, you will make mistakes.It is more difficult to correct errors. You can ask those who build houses.

"Government will not, because of the perception, begin to rush. But where we are required to act very fast, we will do so, just like we did during the recent flood disasters."

Jonathan, who  said no nation could be properly transformed without  reformed citizenry, stated that  the church had a great role to play  in making the transformation agenda a  success.

He reportedly said, "You can't transform a country without the people being reformed. I call on the church to come up with  programmes on  how  Nigerians can be reformed.

"People play politics with things that affect their own lives. That is why somebody will vandalise power equipment in order to ensure that power reform fails. Such people need to be reformed."

He assured Nigerians that he has every intention to fulfill all the promises made by him during his electioneering campaign.

In his sermon, the Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh, said the people's welfare must continue to be the focus of the government.

He said, "The ordinary people should continue to be the subject of leaders' agenda because God takes interest in the poor.  Emphasis of leadership is the poor, the downtrodden. Their welfare and relief must occupy the agenda of (our) leaders.

"There must be peace between man and man, especially in this country.

"We are labouring and praying for peace. Tit for tat is not recommended for the various killings in the country because Christians are peace bearers.

"Irrespective of the provocation, we must promote peace. It is also a solution to tribalism that has affected us and caused chaos."

The president, in the company of his wife, Patience, and mother, Eunice, later received members of the Christian community who came to felicitate with him on Christmas Day at the Aso Rock presidential villa.

Hollywood Actor, Denzel Washington To Star Nollywood Movie
